Learn from Bloggers: Meet Adam Belda, Lifestyle Blogger from the South

If you want to learn more about blogging, the best way is to learn from others. In this series of articles, “portrait of a blogger”, I am choosing an advanced Filipino blogger to tell you about their tips, mistakes and own insights about their blogging journey. And this to help yours. As they took the time to answer those questions, I am thanking them in advance, and I am inviting you to check their website and work.

Today, we are with….

Who are you?

I am Adam Belda, a dancer and a blogger by heart. When I say Blogger by heart, it is something I can’t leave anytime. I started blogging way back 2013 and at the same time a writer for a Korean website. I have been blogging my whole life since 2013 until I worked with ABS-CBN Magazine, PSICOM with a Health Magazine.

It is really amazing to connect with Bloggers around the globe. Feels like they are my long lost siblings, and I believe this what makes me hold on to this passion. Earn, chill, have friends, and hustle like a professional too.

Aside from being a Blogger, I am also a Dancer, started my dancing career since 2014 with GFORCE. While I am enjoying both of my passion, I started a movement for the Bloggers. My friend Karla and I created the community called “South Bloggers PH” – a group of Bloggers who live in South of Luzon (including Metro South).

What is your blog about?

Its name is “ADAM BELDA BLOGS“. I blog about food and drinkgamesevents and travel since I am a Lifestyle Blogger. Blog where I want to connect with my audience, let them know how I enjoy life at the age of 25. That food is my best friend.

When and why did you start this blog?

I started 2013 with ipage.com. Yup, believe it or not, did not use a free website or free-hosting, decided to have my self-hosted website so that I will be motivated to blog. Plus, no need to worry about the storage and bandwidth of my website.

My blog is an outlet where I can be myself and diary in a form of website, an open-diary that everyone can read.

Technical question: what hosting service and what blogging platform do you use?

I use ipage.com as a hosting service, and am a solid and long-time WordPress.org user.

Which social media do you use and why?

I am always online on Facebook , Instagram, and YouTube. That is where I connect with my audience and my friends. Also, it helps me build a wider connection with my blog and vlog.

Some stats about your blog & social media

Stats from my blog? I get a monthly view of 8k-12k according my recent analytics report.

What is your greatest achievement since the beginning of your blogging journey?

It boosted my career as I was able to land on a good position with Magazine Writers industry. Also, having some perks such as traveling for free, and receiving smartphones thanks to my blog.

What is your greatest failure (or worst experience) as well?

There were times when nobody else believes in my skill in terms of blogging. When all I get is rejected proposal, plus no readers. Fortunately, I kept being passionate and stayed consistent.

I think that life will not be life without downfall. So, believe in yourself first so that people around you, will start believing in you as well.

And as a very bad experience, some marketing managers really got on my nerves when asking for too much Press Releases that are not within the agreements.

What would your advice to people who want to start blogging or who are new into blogging?

Do not rush. Try creating 10 drafts for your blog before starting in this world. Ten articles/blog posts might seem little in your eyes, but with the effort on how you do it, you will definitely know if blog is your calling.

Blogging is for everyone, but only few are passionate. I guess the key here is to surround yourself with passionate Bloggers too. Happy that I have South Bloggers with me.

Who are the bloggers you follow and why?

David Guison and Camille Co, they are my batchmates in blogging. We are not that close but they inspire me with how far they become. How consistent they are and how astonishing they create articles.

Any last word to say to the readers?

I hope to be connected with you someday. Blogging will not work without being passionate. If you haven’t started yet, then what are you waiting for? Come join us in our colorful world! Don’t forget to visit my blog.
